New Study of Kalydeco and 809

My child is also DF508 & N1303K. Looks like there are quite a few with this combo.

    WWYD

As the mom of a very active teenaged CF'er, my child would not be coached or taught by someone who I know has CF. Trust me, your child's CF can change very quickly. I would not roll the dice on this particular situation. It is naive to believe that neither the child nor teacher has any bugs...

    CF on Army Wifes

I couldn't believe it either! In my opinion, I think it is one of the most realistic mentions of it on t.v.

    IV Meds and School

I have a 10th grader too. She was on IV meds for 2+ months last year and I set up her infusion schedule to not conflict with school. Of course, it meant middle of the night/early a.m., but it worked and I didn't have to involve the school or interrupt her school schedule.

    Thyroid problems anyone?

Sounds to me that hypothyroidism may be another CF-related complication. My 15 yr old dd has been taking Synthroid for a couple of years now.

    Norfolk, VA Clinic

We are stationed at Langley and we are very pleased with the care that we receive at Portsmouth Naval Medical. Dr. Lee is very hands-on and always available to us. He is passionate about CF. As a matter of fact, we did the Tiger-1 study with Dr. Lee almost 3 years ago. Don't judge the military...
