I give my 5 year old a half of capsule of miralax daily to keep things moving. I have done this since she was 2, and it definitely helps.

My daughter has that as well. Our CF team also referred us to her pediatrician. They gave me the estrogen cream, in which it did open up. This was last year and has since closed up. I plan on scheduling another apt to try it once more. I have often wondered the same thing you have mentioned.

Where do most of you get your meds from? We have been using the CF services pharmacy for years now. My daughter was just accepted for Medicaid in Louisiana where we live. I found out yesterday that they are not in contract with them. It would really help to have her medicines covered.

I am scheduled to have my baby Monday via C-section. My first child has cf and passed the meconium in the birth canal and continued for a few days. At the time we had no idea that this was a sign of cf. My question is, do all newborns have the meconium at birth, or within a few days?
