Thank you for your well wishes! I went in for an admission for 2 weeks and came out in time for my 21st and my course start up. I am steady in lung function and have continued diligence in medication, airway clearance, exercise and other routines. I have fears of a high mucus production starting...
Thanks for the reply suziesmom! Yes the mucus plugs are something i tend come across the last couple of years. I have never used Cayston, i have heard of it before but for some reason the doctors have never mentioned it. Maybe its not popular in Australia, i might ask next time. Yes i always...
Hi all, i hope you are well.
I am in a bit of a situation and i hope somebody can give me some tips. For the past 3-4 weeks, because of what assume is a chest infection, i have been coughing up extra mucus. Due to having pseudomonas i natural have to do a lot of airway clearance, but i have...
Thanks for the reply welshwitch! I am starting to feel a little better, i've recently kicked myself into gear and trying to get myself back up to feeling somewhat normal. I think that goals are a great idea, i am currently thinking about what goals i can benefit from. Exercise makes me feel...
Hey everybody, firstly i would like to let you all know my lung function sits at 50-55% and i have pseudomonas. Recently i became quite unwell for 2 weeks with some form of chest infection/virus. It had my phlegm heavily increased, my appetite disappeared (normally always high), constantly...
There is a minor taste but after so many years of taking them i dont even notice it. Especially with vitabdeck, salt tablets and other non coated antibiotics tasting foul. In comparison Creon is good tasting haha.
Thanks for the reply Twistofchaos, i have read something about that i think. I suppose it comes down to making the most of all protein sources. I take protein powder, lots of milk, yogurt, chicken, fish, steak and other assorted meats. I don't eat much egg (trying to adjust to the taste! haha!)...
Thanks for the responsegoherbs! I'm beginning to open my mind to other options, so its interesting you say this. If it is something that has worked for him and others alike i believe it would be worth my time doing some research. :)
Varies a lot for anybody CF or not. It is hard to put an average on the lung function for somebody with Cf. Some go up, down, up, down within a year. Some slowly decline, some rapidly decline. For me i've lost it in chunks, i was 95-105% up until i was 11, then it got knocked down to 75 that...
I'm currently at a lung function of 52-55 percent, i do not experience very many headaches. Some indicators i've had is chest pain, generally after cardio causing a high pulse and deep breathing. Something i also have experienced when i push myself too far with weights or running is haemoptysis...
Ok thanks, i'll see how i go with the enzymes. I'm keen to look into this D Aspartic Acid also, i will be asking my doctors about this at the next outpatient visit in a couple of weeks. Wow 20lbs as well as increased FEV1, thats awesome! :D Was there anything else you took in conjunction with...
Hey there, im 20 M and fev1 is 52-55. 18 months ago, before i picked up pseudomonas i was 75-80. Droopped rapidly but after a couple of admissions it is stable for now.
I too am looking to try some different things to combat the profuse levels of pseudomonas i've had for 18 months now. I have not heard of either of these products but they sounds interesting. Is the haritaki hard to come by? Thanks.
Thanks for you response Autumn! The product sounds good, are you pancreatic insufficient also? If so are Creons required? I like the sound of the probiotics as well, nice added bonus as some protein powders ive tried can upset the stomach.
Hi Chelsie, thanks for the reply. This is something...
