I personally have always lived my life without regrets and did almost everything I wanted too. So now post transplant there is no great revelations for me to have to embrace. I am very big on goal setting and accomplishing things in life.

Well as long as the "center of excellence" has a good record I would go there. The cost savings I received by using Penn was quite substantial.

I also first went by my Insurance companies recommendation. Blue cross has something called centers of distinction which if used by the policy holder they offer incentives ($10,000 stipend for travel and lodging expenses). So I went to Penn first for all the pre testing and was officially listed...

I was up and walking in days (while in ICU),was weak as a kitten too. At HUP they have a standing walker that I leaned on very heavily. It's all the chest tube boxes that needed to be carried by others or strapped to the cart that was funny.
