I would ask to have her tested for CF but also ask to have her tested for immune deficiency. I would make sure they do the IgG subclass test for the immune testing, not just the IgG testing. What this test is for is to see if she has enough immunoglobulins to fight off infections. It is just a...

I just heard from her primary dr. She has a low subclass Ig_ . Not sure which subclass it is yet--forgot to ask. They are going to refer her to an infectious disease specialist for follow-up. At least we have some reason for all of this now. Thanks to everyone for their support!

DD had her sinus surgery yesterday. The ENT said there was a lot more gunk up there then he anticipated and the surgery was a lot harder then he thought it was going to be. The surgery took 2 1/2 hours. He said there were a lot of polyps, more then they saw on the CT scan too. She is resting...

Just thought I would update...not much of an update, DD is having sinus surgery next week. They will culture the junk then as well. The ENT, for now, is calling it "CF like symptoms without having CF". At her pre-op appointment we are going to have blood taken for hypo gammaglobulinemia...

Could you explain bloody discharge a little more? If it's fresh blood you may have issues and should see the doctors asap. If its dried and from the sinuses I wouldn't worry about it too much.</end quote></div>...

DD was given a NasoNeb to help clear out her sinuses. She was given an inhaled steroid and an inhaled antibiotic to use for a month. While it seems to be cleaning things out most of the time, she is getting a lot of bloody discharge as well. Is that normal? I tried looking it up on Google...
