Another thing to add is that the owner of the home laid fresh mulch all around the property right after we moved in. The smell was initially very strong and is still giving off odor. Could the mulch be contributing to my symptoms as well?

Sorry you are going through this. The thing that helps me when I am on IV's & can't get my FEV1 back to baseline is prednisone. Have you been on that before? I would talk to your doc about considering it. Nothing worse than that "tight" feeling in your chest. Hope Feel better soo!! <img...
