Thanks to the moms and their support, wisdom and encouragement. I did speak with a charge nurse as things became neglectful to the point of sam being in a "critical" diabetic state. I will no longer be using this forum however..with cyber bullies and insensitive people like Bill " Printer"...
I am proud of your courage ANGELA!, I hope you find strength and support to take care of YOU, while Jared grows and his needs change. You sound like a very strong woman who could be an advocate for other mothers who struggle with the same issues...God Bless you
WOW Bill, that was excessive and harsh, I dont imagine you thought of what we are going through either, but I am not at a hotel complaining about lack of service, I am in the hospital with a very ill child, less than 50% lung fuction low oxygen, diabetes out of control, job loss, husband lost...
My 15 year old son is in the Children's hospital for a "Tune UP", we have always liked this hospital and choose this over ones closer to our home due to the compassion and attention our CF/Diabetic child receives. WELL, things are not the same with this trip. Its as though our son is too old for...
I agree with Tammy G needing to find ways to treat her 4 year old who cannot make these decisions for himself. PLEASE Tammy , learn all you can before neglecting the needs of your child. I would say however, that if your CF clininc does not support your questioning some meds and procedures, try...

It must be difficult to have to learn a new way of life as a teenager, I am certain you can do it! However, and hopefully, you can be an inspiration to other teens who have to endure some type of self care for better health. My son is 14 with CF and type 1 diabetes, he also struggles with self...

Christine,
I am so impressed with your strength and fortitude in being a terrific advocate for Joe. I have not heard of these severe issues before and I have to ask you how you came to know this was much more than the regular digestive issues. Does Joe also have diabetes? Is his pancreas a...

Thanks for the info on the other CF blog site, it took me awhile but I am now a member and have posted my question there. It seems that others have experience with MAC, or some version of this MAI diagnosis of Sams, but I am not really getting much else.
I am going to call the CF clinic...
