g-tube feels
I have had that "sucked in" feeling as well. I sometimes find flushing the tube helps. Of course, this "sucked in" feeling usually happens when I am not home. I asked my GI about this. He said it is very common with the Mic-Key button. I get it whether I have eaten or not.

Hi The Lost Miller,
Have you ever tried Tea Tree Oil around the granulation tissue? It really helps reduce the reduction of this tissue. I would run this by a doctor first. Creams high in zinc oxide seem to help the site heal as well. It took my site about six months to completely heal. Hang in...
shortcody23,
I am sorry you are having issues with your TPN, As you already know, it can be quite harsh on the liver. If you have a stomach emptying problem like Gastroparesis, a g tube is not well tolerated except for using one to decompress your stomach. I know from personal experience. You...

I use my vest while eating quite often. I make sure I do not eat something with bones or a food that requires a lot of chewing. I also slow down the speed of the machine until after I am done. I never thought to ask my doctor if this practice was dangerous or not.
