My personal favourite has always been Opeth-Ghost of perdition At the moment maybe Novembre-Aquamarine which I listened to recently in struggling, just because being underwater I often associate with fighting CF, and because it's pretty. :)
As for fat storage I believe hormones play a significant part in that, where testosteron (mostly male) generally makes fat to go to belly back and upper body and estrogen (mostly female) generally makes fat go to thighs butt arms and so on. (notice the generallies)

Typically yes, when your body produces mucus it's almost transparent but becomes darker as it sits there. Various colors green to brown from bacteria doing stuff to it and in it. ..For me and from my experience, transparent, great! "fresh" thin mucus and the lungs are at ease, no reaction etc...

..Can I say that while opening cysticfibrosis.com this morning I jumped a hole in the air finally seeing the CF topic I always wanted to discuss, nurse's bra's, only to find when clicking on it it's in pregnancy and not even close to what I had imagined. (I'm Dutch I can make the mistake.)
