Just to add a note about your children, I have found that alot of people take the initiative to have themselves tested if CF is in the family butthere are also alot of people I've come across that don't believe in that sort of thing. Best to know if you ask me!! Better than the shock of finding...

Yes you can be tested to see if you are a gene carrier and/or do have CF. I do not know what the deal is internationally, but in Australia they offer free testing for all immediate family incl.
