The max flow with a nasal cannula is usually 6LPM, mostly due to comfort issues and the risk of nosebleeds. Sometimes you can get away with higher flow rates by adding a humidifier.
Typically above 6 LPM we go to a simple face mask or a non-rebreather. Having said that, if you are requiring...

I wish I could give some of my good...

Nice that's great to hear. I want to really gain some muscle and increase endurance. I can't run anymore unfortunately because of an (undiagnosed) problem with my right knee.
I took a 20 mile bike ride yesterday, so I think I'll have a decent head start (although I do know it's an intense...

Hmm, this is an excellent question. I used to swim and I was also a gymnast for awhile. Both are fantastic ways to keep your lungs healthy.
I never really did anything special when I was involved heavily in sports (other than really increasing my salt intake when in gymnastics).

It's been about a year for me, but that was for complications with sinus surgery (indirectly CF I suppose). If you don't count that, I have only been hospitalized for CF once. I typically am on antibiotics (oral) 2-4 times a year.

Good, I'm glad that he's getting the full screen.
Typically in the ENT's office they will take a swab of the nose and send off to see if it grows bacteria, they will also usually do this during the sinus surgeries as well. They can then not only tell which bacteria is growing, but what...
