I just saw on the NBC nightly news that there is a significant outbreak of pertussis (whooping cough) in the United States. How does this affect CFers? If we were innoculated as babies are we still safe?

We're moving to Texas but considering the possibility of flying to a really good <em>ADULT</em> CF Center for appointments several times a year. I know others do...
As an adult with CF, do you still let your parents help you in any way? What are some of the things you appreciate? What are some of the things you wish they wouldn't do? Does it help to have them live nearby?
