Just thought I'd share, our daughter asked me this morning - will I have to take enzymes when I'm older? She's 4 and a half and I just felt quite sad - have any of your kids asked you this question before? <img...
Our daughter cultured Pseudo again almost 4 weeks ago and she has been on Cipro for 3 weeks this Saturday. Anyways, my brother text me two weeks ago to say how 'sorry' he was and that he'd phone me. Three weeks have also passed and he still hasn't phoned me cos he's so 'busy'. He sent me a...
My little girl is 3 and a half year old and for the last week has had a cough. We've put her on her back up antibiotic - she's been on it now for four days and her cough is still there. I know it's early days, and she's got another ten days to take her med, but I am really worrying! The cough...
Our daughter has got an end of term party in Playgroup this week. She has been attending for almost the last year for 2 hours each morning and has really enjoyed it. Each morning the children have a snack, right from the start I told the lady that runs the Playgroup that our daughter has CF...
My in-laws smoke in the house. That's fine, it's their house. It really p*sses me off though when I caught our daughter's grandad smoking in the kitchen when we were visiting. I felt awkward but said to my mother-in-law that I appreciated that it was their house, but I didn't feel happy him...
Don't know why, probably the weather, been raining for the past three days! Lately, I've constantly been worrying about my daughter's health. She's doing fine but that's what's worrying me. I can't help it.

My mother-in-law and father-in-law are heavy smokers. They smoke in the house. When we visit we go into another room but it still smells smoky. I think the world of my in-laws, but this issue is constantly on the back of my mind when we visit. When the weather is nice (which is not very...
I took my daughter to her check-up at the Clinic this morning. She's been going through a rough patch lately when she has to do her cough swabs, but today she just did it no problem! I was so proud of my little girl. She rocks.
My daughter was due a cough swab today, but it didn't go ahead. The Nurse came to the house to do it and my daughter basically just freaked out and got really upset. The Nurse decided to leave it because my daughter was upset. I spoke to the Consultant this morning and suggested that me or my...
My daughter who is 3 years old started with runny nose and husky throat almost 2 weeks ago, a couple of days she developed a slight cough, so we put her on her 'back-up' antibiotic. She finishes her 14 day course on Sunday evening. At the moment, she still has a bit of a cough though...

Recently I've read a lot on false negative sweat tests - is this really possible?
Thanks.
My three year old daughter seems to really enjoy mint at the moment - eg chocolate mint mousse, mint chocolate. She loves it! Just wondered if any of your kids with CF like it too? Just curious.

I know we have had conversations about this time and time again but I absolutely hate, and I mean HATE smoking! I went out to the pub at lunch time with my colleagues cos it is our last day in work before Christmas and it was full of smoke - disgusting! Anyways, I know we don't have to go into...
I posted about this last week, so some of you may have read my last post. At present I see a Psychologist every couple of months or so. At my last appointment, she told me that she thought I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after my daughter being diagnosed with CF.
