You fought like a warrior.
Well i take it - it's actually a COPD med but it helps with gas-trapping.
Has anyone had issues with empty capsules? Recently, an RT mentioned to me that there have been complaints about getting empty capsules, and just tonight, I got one. I've had them before but it struck me now to ask if...
I'm assuming we've all got lives besides meds, work, school, internet, and more meds. So tell me, what are some of your fav shows?
I love:
The Amazing Race
Big Brother (starts next month yay!)
Young and Restless
Grey's Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
Ghost Whisperer (shh!)
and various other home...
Well as many of you know, I have my evaluation coming up! Dec. 17-20. I received a call today from Sick Kids saying they have called the hotel and booked a room for my dad and I to stay in for 3 nights. They can cover 2 but we will need to cover 1 at their hospital rate. It does have internet...

I am just wondering if it's normal for chest mucus to be really really sticky, or if it depends on the person and how severe their lung disease is?
For myself, mine is really really sticky. So sticky that if i get it on my hand or anything it sticks to the point where running it under water...
I have a nasal polyp in my left nostril. It has been there since I was 17, and it grows and shrinks as it likes. If i tilt my head up and look into my nose, i can see it looking back at me at the very back of my nose.
Since i began using O2 in June, i have gotten nose bleeds. I know that the O2...
Instead of the typical chest and digestive, what's the weirdest or funniest thing you've ever been diagnosed with? It doens't have to be a long term thing either, it can be a temporary situation.
For myself, it would have to be handsdown a ganglion.
Yup that's right, go ahead and laugh...
I read this at the Caringbridge site! What we have all been praying for!!!!
" This could be a BIG rehearsal but...
We have a potential MATCH!!!!!
There are still a few issues left to make certain but... hopefully Miss Lolo will be in surgery late this evening, early Saturday morning getting...
Last month, roughly 4 weeks ago, I began Zithromax. I do feel slightly better but not incredibly. About 2 days ago I noticed my ear drums began feeling like they were 'thumping'. Has anyone else experienced this? It's kind of a popping/thumping sensation and it happens rather erradically.
I...
As you know Anna had her tx yesterday, and i was wondering if there were any updates? I know there's already a thread but it's been shoved to the second page so i started a new one.
If Liza reads this, just know we're all thinking about you and praying everything has gone well and continues to...
Ok, I'm sorry for the hoards and hoards of oxygen questions, but you know me and my crazy mind......and so i begin:
I use pediatric sized nasal canuals (is it can-yoo-las or can-oo-las?) Either way, yes, i used baby tubing and I found that the end of the prong to be a bit narrow so i trimmed...
Ok so I started O2 the other night, and so far I am feeling a bit better. But i want to know what else does it help with besides giving your body more energy and making you less tired?
Does it help you breathe better and improve function? I doubt it, but my mum told me she thought it did, and I...
Ok so i was coughing a lot lastnight, and i probably coughed a lot in my sleep. When i woke up this morning, my lungs/ribs were really sore, and still are. I'm pretty sure it's my lungs that are so from all the coughing, b/c regular breathing doesn't bother me, it's coughing that is unpleasant...
So i have low O2 and most likely need to go on O2 at night (how sexy). Anywho, i heard/read somewhere that a sign of low oxygen is having nightmares. I cannot remember where i saw this, but i know for a fact i did. So my question is, does anyone on this board with low O2 have the same prob...
Hey guys
I live in southern Ontario, as many of you know. And most people know that anyone who lives hear, or in the surrounding states that it can get very, very humid. The last couple of days it's been 30C, with humidity making it feel like 35C (roughly 90-100F)
Last year the humidty...
Ok, now time for my extremely horrible, upsetting day.
I went to the hosp. for some tests, as well as my regular IV appt (which for the first time in years went well! It only took one poke to get a vein - yay!) First up at 10am were my PFTs. I knew they wouldn't be good, i just knew it. Lately...
Ok so as some of you know i went to see my doc today and knew i'd get my spiro done, and here are the results:
FEV1 before Ventolin: .63
FEV1 after Ventolin: .57
Best FEC was 1.50.
All others i blew .90
So.....what does this really mean? I need it explained in people...
The last week i've noticed a faint taste/smell to my mucus, both from my lungs and my nose. I know that sometimes it is normal, but i'm wondering if it could be a sign on an infection or something? Like i said in my other topic, my mucus production and colour is normal...but still.....the odour...
