Found this in the latest edition of CF Today (publication of the CF Trust). This is something different - not what is currently going through the clinical trials in the UK.

The CF Trust is currently working on gene therapy. They have a product candidate that they are going to put through clinical trials next year. They also have a potential second gene therapy product candidate that they're very excited about. See the editorial at the beginning of the attached...
My understanding is that the main problem with gene therapy is the body's immune response to the vector (delivery vehicle?). That our bodies are set up to recognize foreign material and attack it, especially viruses.
Anyway, and this just my interpretation of what I've read and heard, it sounds...
