    Pseudomonas treatment

Hi, I cultured PA in 2001 and took 9 months to eradicate it, so a couple of years ago when I grew it again, I was really really keen to get rid of it again so I took everything they threw at me. I got oral cipro 750mg for 4 weeks, nebulized colomycin twice daily for 3 months plus IV tobramycin...

    I NEED YOUR INPUT PLEASE

Hi x that's great news that your son got a negative swab.  I know a lot of people are saying it's here for the long haul, but don't despair. I got PA in 2001 - took 9 months to clear but then didn't get it back until Jan 2010.  Then I was given 2 IV drugs for 2 weeks, and nebulized colymicin and...

Moving to California from the UK

Hi again, I have just thought of another question, is there a big deal about pre-existing conditions? Will I even be allowed insurance or will it cost tons more, or if it is a group insurance attached to the company will me having CF not even matter? Thank you again Jeanette x

Hi Teri, Thank you so much, that was really helpful, although I am still a bit confused with what things mean - does a deductible mean that you have to pay the full amount for health care until you have paid that amount? I like the idea of max out of pocket per year, is that on most...

Moving to California from the UK

Thank you Julie, that's really kind of you. I understand there are difficulties in answering my question as there are huge variations in cover, I guess I was wanting best/worst cases really, so I could gain a bit of understanding into how expensive it could get. Thanks again, Jeanette xx
