Thanks for the reply! I was able to get sweat test results through the genetic councillor in a matter of minutes so still not sure why it was taking G.P 6 weeks to receive them. Regardless, it was a relief to hear some news. Another month and genetic testing results will be available!

I could imagine that would be incredibly difficult for you! I lost a cousin to cf and it is a horrible disease!

Thanks for your reply. His sweat test was done at our local hospital and sent to a cf clinic. I was told about a month for genetic testing so I am hoping to hear in the next week or so.

My 5 year old son is going through testing for cf. He has done the genetic blood test, pft, and sweat test. First we were told that sweat test results would be available at gp in 3 days or so. After 10 days with no results the gp's office called the hospital and was told it would be two weeks...

I was wondering if anyone else experienced a long wait period for a sweat test? My son had his sweat test done 17 days ago and my GP has yet to receive any results!
