I apologize if this was already answered, but are you receiving care (or lack of it) from a CF clinic? Perhaps it is time to look for new doctors who are willing to treat your son for what (in my mind) is clearly CF so that he WILL stay healthy and symptom-free for as long as possible.

Thank you all SO much. You are such wonderful people... I haven't posted a whole lot on here, but when I do you guys are all right there for a virtual stranger. THANK YOU.
LostMiler, you summed it up so well... I just can't get my mind off of it. I mean, I've always known that it is pretty...

So I "broke the news" so to speak to a couple of you in chat last night. I had a clinic visit last week and sure enough the trend of lower PFTs is continuing and I am generally declining fairly quickly. For the first time in my life, I heard the word "transplant" directed at me. No, no, no, I am...

Again, great to hear! I use 2 or 3 separate cups/nebs for pulmozyme, albuterol and HTS, and Tobi when I'm 28 on, so I usually pre-fill them anyway before I start. I can't believe I didn't think to try this sooner.

Yes, it instantly triggered the gag/choke reflex for me and made me sick to my stomach. Like you said, it didn't seem to be the taste or smell, it just immediately churned things up the wrong way when it made its way into my lungs. I know that many people have the side effects with Cayston...

Melissa (and everybody else) is absolutely right. I was in the exact same place you are right now. I have always been very private about my CF and I can count on one hand the people in my close personal life who know about it. Until about a year ago, I hadn't told my absolute best friend either...

Thanks for the replies! I think I'll give it a try. It would give me a good 45 minutes of extra sleep in the morning, and it's already nearly an hour commute to school and work, and an hour the other direction to my clinic, and those seem to be the only places I go on a regular basis lately.
