504 Update

Melissa (and everyone else) I just want to thank you for your help and information regarding the 504 plan. I spoke to the head counselor at the high school that my daughter attends (she's in the 9th grade) and we are working on putting into place a 504 plan for her. I just spoke to the counselor today and it seems like this should be a fairly easy plan to implement and she seems very willing to help in any way. I just feel good about this and I thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I am so glad that it will be put into place. Like I told you originally....better to have it & not need it then to need it & not have it. Just a note tho.....it needs to be renewed every school year or least at our school it does so next year you might want to check on that. I dont know if its a school policy or government policy to renew it!

What I was told is that it will be renewed/reviewed each semester. We are just working on the draft at this point but it's just nice to know we are moving ahead. I just feel so fortunate to have found this forum!
