keeping home germ-free with visitors you don't know

i always wonder how my health would be if my home was germ free. i live out in the country in a rice field (dust, pollen, you name it). i'm constantly outside and we always have company. i am 18 weeks pregnant. i don't do the purell thing, the only time i do that is if i pump gas or if i'm just touched something yucky. i think it's impossible to have everything germ free. i know when i have the baby, i will try to keep things as clean as possible.

I've been in to view an apartment where the person was germophobic. The land lord told us that they were immune comprimised. They had a piece of tape on the carpet at which point no one could cross the line with shoes and although they did not do this I would see no problem with you leaving a bottle of Purell there for all to use. Maybe even a sign with *rules*

I don't see a reason why you need to warn the landlord about germs that could harm other cfers. They'll never know if their clients have cf.

As long as you are a bill paying resident they owe it to you to help you maintain your health.

Btw, what city do you live in? I live in Philly.
