A job i found

I've been having sooo much trouble keeping jobs lately. I mean, i can't really keep up with everyone else, even though I work my butt off, so I keep getting "let go" (sigh) very frustrating. And I usually end up breaking down whenever I get fired, which is kind of embarrasing in front of people i don't know that well. And then my family thinks I'm a lazy bum 'cause i can't get a job... Ugh, I hate it. But anyway, someone told me about assembling products at home. You sign up with this company (most of them have a one-time fee of like 30 to 40$) and they send you a bunch of supplies and instructions, and then you make things, most of what I found were like craft-type items, you know, those hand-made crafts that you see at gift stores and such.

Anyway, i just signed up recently, so i haven't got the stuff yet, but I think it might be a good thing for people like me. I mean, you work at your own pace, and as long as the quality is good it doesn't matter how long it takes. The only thing is you have to make 90 of them, which can probably get pretty repetitive and boring, but as long as I have a tv on, or something to keep myself entertained, I think it'll be all right. It's really good money, too; About $600 for every 90 items. Anyway, i'm thinking this could really help my job problem, and wanted to share it with anyone else who might be having troubles. =-)

That is exactly right. I tried to do it once and it was soooooo hard and confusing I couldnt even do it. Alot of them are scams. I have tried so many of them and they say if you have to pay anything up front dont do it. I real company will never have you pay a fee to work for them..... wishing you luck though, I hope yours will work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!!

Hi Jarrod,
Good luck with your endeavor! I hope it works out for you. Have you ever tried or thought of medical transcription? That is something you can do at home, you may have to take a medical terminology course, but I don't think that is too big a deal. I do one physician's transcription, it takes anywhere from 1-2 hours/day and I can do it at my leisure. It is interesting work. If I am not feeling well, I can take the time off and he doesn't mind. It really is perfect for me at this point in my life. I am not able to work a regular job, but working from home with flexible time off is exactly what I need. Good luck!!!

Hi,
I am on disability and have Medicare for health insurance, so working at home doesn't affect my health insurance one way or the other. The income has to be reported, but I still get disability payments because I am not able to work enough to support myself. Still, it is nice to be doing a little something in the way of work.

Ha ha, Yeah I tried that! I applied to about five different libraries, and didn't even get a call back. I was only applying for a shelver position, too! All the other positions required either a degree or experience I didn't have.

Someone said this is probably a scam. =-) I was actually thinking the same thing, but I went with it anyway. What I'm hoping is I can play the system enough to come out on top. There's a quote that says, "if it sounds too good to be true, It probably is". =-)Usually I live by that quote, but lately i guess I've been kind of desperate. I even fell for one of those paid survey sites. They claim you can make up to $150 for each online survey you fill out, but after you sign up you find out all the surveys simply enter you into a sweepstakes where you might get some money out of it. (sigh) I know better than that, but oh, well. I'm still kinda optimistic about the assembling products thing... I just hope it's not wishful thinking. =-)

To the person who asked about taxes, I read somewhere you have to treat it like self-employment. So, I guess what I'm gonna have to do is save all my paycheck stubs (if I ever get any paychecks =-) and take 'em to H+R Block or something. Seriously, I've never done anything more complicated than a 1040 form... Actually make that the EZ1040... Ummm, I think that's right, anyway, the most basic one. =-) I don't even wanna think about doing my own taxes if they're any more complicated than that.

Kim, Medical transciption sounds interesting. I've kinda thought about taking a correspondance course, or something, but I haven't yet, mostly because of finances, but also because I'm not sure I could keep my motivation up enough to complete it. Now that I've finished high school and dropped out of college three times, I'm a little burned out on education. =-) ha ha, three times! I'm such a loser, but oh, well. That's in the past, and if I had to try all over again, I'm not sure I would have done anything different. =-)

Ugh, why am I rambling so much tonight? Okay, I'm gonna stop now. I'll keep you all posted. =-)
