AAAAH! Wedding drama.

So we were going to have the wedding (which is in a month) at the ballroom on the Naval base where Brian is stationed. We paid for it ($600) a few months ago. I found out this morning that we are only allowed to use certain caterers because they are contracted with the base. All of these caterers are WAY over our budget. We aren't even allowed to use someone else if we bring the food ourselves. So a month before the wedding I have no choice but to move the wedding. Not that I want to give those a$$holes my money if that's the way they do business. In the long run it will be better (especially financially). We are doing it in the gym at our apartment complex which is free. We'll have to rent tables and stuff but that won't cost nearly $600.

Wedding drama is always a fun thing to hear about. Glad you have yours under control. I'm sure you will have a great wedding day!

We had to move our wedding 2 weeks before our date too. We had planned for the ceremony to be on a lake and we kept waiting for the snow to melt.....kept waiting, until we realized it was July already and the snow was still there! So we picked a nice meadow and I made and mailed out new maps and the announcement of our new location. I was just worried people weren'y going to get this piece of info before leaving for the trip, since it was a minimum of a 5 hour drive for everyone. It all worked out very well though! We also had to pick up cow paddies in this meadow hours before the ceremony, but that was not an issue. Just a bunch of silly cows...

I think that wedding stuff is all just to prepare you for the ups and downs that can come with marriage. I am sorry to hear all of this. Good luck. It will all work out and you will be laughing about this one day.
