Acapella

Any seasoned Acapella user have any tips for use? I've never used it before and have had one in the packaging for several years. I just pulled it out of the closet and want to get started on it. Can I use it during Vest therapy? Can someone give me a rundown on proper use and also little things that could help get the maximum treatment out of it? I am going into the hospital this week and will have a respiratory therapist sit down with me at that point to show me, but I would like to get a head start. Thanks.

Is Acapella basically the same as the "Flutter" ? I know some on here use the Acapella , because i remember reading it before. I hope they read this and have some tips for you.

Well, I'm not an expert on it. I have only used it a couple of times and that was a few years ago. For me personally, it didn't work. I think it is somewhat similar to the flutter which also did nothing for me. I use a hand-held percussor, and occassionally use the vest. I was just told at my last dr. appt. that I could use the accapella while doing my vest therapy. I know that doesn't help much, but that's about all I know. Hope you get more info.
