For info on taking and using different forms of acidophilus see <A href="http://www.geocities.com/MurrensNatureMama/wellness">www.geocities.com/MurrensNatureMama/wellness</A>. You could also consider Kefir. There has been some discussion about Kefir on the Adults forum. The nice thing about Kefir is that you could feasible buy one batch of starter and not have to make another purchase except for the milk the recipe uses. Kefir is a fermented milk drink that has all those good flora in it. You can buy Kefir starter for $4.50 from Urban Homemaker (<A href="http://www.urbanhomemaker.com">www.urbanhomemaker.com</A>). Then you just use a bit of whatever is in the bottom of your batch to start the next one. Like with yeast breads and sourdough.

I just read your link to the web site. I never knew you should refridgerate the acidophilus! We buy ours at CVS, I don't think it had that info on the package. Good info!

Misty, my daughter 2.5wcf has been taking a probiotic daily since she was almost 18 months (so just over a year). If she goes on an anti then we double her dose. It really helps her digestion and I notice a bad change in her stools within days if I take her off of them - never really knew how much it did for her until I ran out and kept forgot to buy more for over a week.
