Advair 500/50

My doctor is switching me to Advair 500/50 for a month. I normally take 250/50 but since having the flu about 3 weeks ago I am still not healthy and dealing with lots of inflamation, coughing, etc.

I am on Tobi and was on prednisone for 2 weeks....I am not doing that much better (still coughing up a ton of gunk) so he is starting me on doxy and upping my advair to 500/50 just for a month.

Is anyone else on 500/50?

yes, I've been on Advair 500/50 for a number of years (at least 4-5 years I think). It works very well for me, but I also have an asthma component to my CF.

I ran out of advair for a couple months before being able to refill and felt terrible without; then lung function improved back on it, so it's worked well for me.

Best of luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thanks Debra! I have an asthma component to my CF as well-the advair REALLY helped my lung function improve when I started it.
I start the 500/50 tonight-and am taking it for a month. Then I will go back down to my regular 250/50.
