Am I paranoid?

As most of you know, I have a daughter that has c/f. She is adopted, so of course she didnt inherit it from my husband or me.
Lately, I have been sweating like crazy.....sweating rock salt. I have never been able to tolerate the heat. I have had numerous bouts of pnuemonia and walking pnuemonia, bronchitis, bronchial pnuemonia. Up until three years ago, I couldnt gain wait at all. I was 5'6" and 90 pounds when wet. I dont have that problem any longer because of the heart meds I am on. I have clubbing of my fingers and toes, not really bad but noticeble. I also have a constant cough, some times it is productive, sometime not. I am on meds for gerd and for my heart.
Am I trying to rationalize my daughter's disease with some one (me) having it too?
Am I paranoid? Should I get tested? Or should I go to the nut house?
Thanks in advance for your input.

I would talk to your Daughter's CF doctor. If you have a congetial heart problem that can cause clubbing. I hope your insurance pays for the blood test. I hope you do not have cf but it would be helpful to rule it out.

Agreed with Risa.
If it is serious enough to bother you or make you concerned I would address it with the doc and see what they say.

I would definitely get tested for peace of mind.
If I were in your shoes, the symptoms you've mentioned would make me wonder too.
No trips to the nut house necessary<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

A heart condition can cause similar symptoms and you mentioned heart meds. Your heart and lungs work together. If your heart isn't working properly you may not be getting enough oxygen to your blood which is the cause of clubbing. Also your heart can be working too hard which takes energy and that could explain you trouble gaining weight.
