Hey,

For Amy mostly, or anyone that knows-
Does Protonix (the proton pump inhibitor for reflux) have any contraindications for pregnancy?
I had one doctor tell me one thing, and one doctor tell me another. I'm confused! I'm going to call the pharmacist, and the OBGYN to ask also. I want to gather as much info as possible.

All meds have pregnancy categories.

all brand name medication websites will have this PI. generics are harder to find (just go to your local pharmacy and they can give you a PI for your med.

Protonix's PI says it's <b> Preg Cat B. </b> It's been studied in animals and it shows not to harm the fetus. But beause animal tests and human tests dont' always mimic each other, the med should only be taken unless absolutely necessary.
