An update on the Albuterol thing....

WOW! So, since I stopped Atrovent with my Albuterol nebs, I HAVE actually been coughing MUCH more! I bring up a lot of gunk, especially in the morning. So, is this a good thing? I'm not so wheezy anymore either! YAY! So, my doc was RIGHT?!?! She said Atrovent actually dries most people out.... so, my question is, would it be better to be dried out, or better to cough and cough? I even notice my nose is running more too! You think this is from solo Albuterol?

Thanks,
Sonia

We were told that albuterol helps to open up the larger airways and atrovent opens up the smaller ones (or vice versa -- I could be mixed up) and then that the atrovent lasts longer.
