another insurance question

ok, so for those of you who answered my insurance question, thank you! It made my fear of losing health insurance diminish. My next, and I think only, question is that...for those of you using the forms for disability and/or forms for filing after your age limit while still in school school w/no income...do you live alone or still with your 'rents. With your extensions and disability things, do you still have to live with your parents or for that matter remain single? Forgive me if these are no brainers, I'm so new at this.

Hey
I currently live with my mom, but have health insurance through my dad (my parents are divorced). I my instance I do not have to live with my parents, we just have to be able to show that at least half of my income comes from my dad for me to maintain his insurance.
Also about being single. I think that if you were to marry you would no longer be a dependent of your parent - you would be considered a dependent of the person you marry. I may be wrong, but I know with my insurance if I get married I lose everything except the Medicare which is in my name through SSDI. You could become eligible for your spouses insurance though.

Living on your own isnt out of the ???, but you usually have to prove that the parent is providing a majority of your needs. I dont know of ANY insurance that would let you be on your parents insurance even if disabled once you get married. This puts you into a whole new catergory. Basically I agree with Lindsey on this!
