Anyone Else Have Inconsistent Sidestreams?

I take albuterol and saline at the same time via the sidestream. Problem is, I often get no actual flow once the pump is on. If I jigger around partially unscrew the sidestream (thereby giving the little mushroom inside more freedom), I can get flow -- but of course I then have to continually hold it or risk it going to pieces in the middle of treatment. The problem doesn't seem to be the age of the sidestreams, or my dosage, so I'm running out of ideas.

Anyone have any insight?
