had a CT In Dec that said
~ There is no pulmonary embolism.
Patchy air space opacities with associated peribronchial thickening and bronchiectasis are seen in the lingula, posterior left upper lobe and anterior basilar segment of the right lower lobe.
There are borderline enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes, as well as enlarged. hilar lymph nodes bilaterally. Soft tissue density in the anterior mediastinum likely represents residual thymus.
There is no pleural or pericardial effusion. The osseous structures are normal.
IMPRESSION: 1. No pulmonary embolism. 2. Bronchiectasis with patchy air space opacities in the lingula, posterior left upper lobe and anterior basal segment of the right lower lobe. The areas of bronchiectasis are likely post- infectious in origin and/or related to chronic aspiration. 3. There is a borderline enlarged mediastinal and enlarged hilar lymph nodes that may be inflammatory and related to the same process.
I had another CT in Jan that said
~ There are no pulmonary arterial filling defects to suggest pulmonary embolic disease. There are numerous borderline enlarged mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes as before. Additionally, there are scattered areas of bronchiectasis throughout both lungs which is also unchanged when compared to December 8, 2006. There is no pleural effusion or pneumothorax. The bony thorax is unremarkable.
IMPRESSION: 1. No evidence of pulmonary embolic disease. 2. Scattered areas of bronchiectasis are unchanged when compared to December 8, 2006.
In June I had an xray that said possible nodes or nodules in left lung. The past 2 weeks my upper left side where these would be if they are there has benn hurting me, so much tonight that I took 400mg ibuprohen and it hasnt done anything. Has anyone had these? What are they? I have no idea I just hurt. My cf doc is supposed to call be back tomm after looking at the june xray.
Thank you so much for your help,
