So.......... I like mint tea and speariment tea because they say that type helps to open your lungs up a little.

Anyone else have a favorite that helps their breathing a little?

______________

Uggggh....referring to the bicker. The bickering will never stop, so let's have some tea instead.

i like the green tea for its antioxidents and such... i add honey to mine with a bit of sugar... not all the time tho because it makes me hot, per the hot water...

usually make it when i feel a cold coming on or just crapy...

Right now I am drinking Mother-to-Be yogi tea, for obvious reasons <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> It has spearamint, red rasberrry, and a couple other hebs I can't remember right off. However, I absolutely LOVE yogi tea's Egyptian Licorice and a licorice tea by pickwick that is from Holland called Zouthout. I've read that licorice should be avoided in pregnancy though, so I'll have to wait about 100 more days until I can drink it again!

A friend of mine from the States sent me over some tea called "Gypsy Cold Care" tea. It promotes respiratory health. It's caffeine free, and has organic elder flower, yarrow flower, peppermint leaf, hyssop herb, rose hip, cinnamon bark, ginger rhizome, safflower petal, clove flower bud and licorice root extract. Trust me, it really does loosen me up when I drink it. I would definilty recommend it.

I love tea. Love love love. I have a cupboard full of it. As for Cf helping teas, there's a kind by Celestial Seasonings, I think called Tummy Mint, that helped ease stomach pain. Seemed to help. Tension tamer too, great stuff. *looks in her cupboard* Oh oh, throat soothers, great when you have that annoying dry, seemingly reasonless cough.

For teas that just taste really good, I love the sweet apple chamomile and the Raspberry zinger

I hear green tea is WONDERFUL for you, but everytime I drink it, it makes me sick to my stomach (literally almost throwing up). Not that is tastes bad, it makes my stomach hurt.

Anyone else have this problem with green tea?

My favorite is peppermint tea. I grew up drinking it at my grandparents'. I guess it reminds me of coming in after a day of work on the ranch. My grandmother always had the stuff freshly made and iced by the time we got in. I also drink Moon Cycle tea from Yogi, whenever Aunt Flo is due to visit. It seems to help out a little.

I don't drink tea but everyone is always talking about their teas? Does anyone have a reccomendation for a begginer? I mean maybe i don't want to jump into root of redwood tree or something? I like to ease into this kind of thing? I stand a better chance of giving it a fair shot if it tastes okay......

You think the local grocery store would carry it? LOL.

Back on track though. Sleepy Time tea is also good. Its part of the Celestial brand of teas. Its very soothing and relaxing. I sometimes drink a cup before bed.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>It helps you see into the spirit world like Chavez from Young Guns. </end quote></div>

That reminds me of a Ry story! (What doesn't?) We were watching young guns 2, and when he sees his spirit horse, Ry goes "Ah look, the Tristar logo is coming to take him home"

haha

I really do like flavored iced teas though. Applebeas and some other chain pubs have great raspberry tea and mango tea. Great stuff man, extremely refreshing.

Most bartenders will add stuff to your tea if you ask them also. Some grenadine is great in tea.

For me, green tea sucks! It gives me thee worst head aches ever! I'm a caffeine drinker including a daily morning coffee which is my favorite time of day, but Green Tea puts my brain over the edge. I have to take a tylenol and go to sleep afterward before feeling normal again. It sucks because I have a bunch in the cupboard.

I use some sugar (when don't I though), and leave the bag in the cup so that the flavor keeps coming. I think the idea relaxes me sometimes more then the tea.

It's fun checking out all the different kinds at the store, I guess if you're into that kind of thing. It's fun for me to see all the cool packaging, especially at the health food store. Makes me want to try all of them.

Selecial Seasonings has become too tasy for me. I use to only drink that kind b/c it had SO much spice/flavor/smell, but now it's too much. Maybe my brain is becoming sensitive to spices.

Not much tea for me.... It gives me terrible acid reflux... no matter the kind... i always end up feeling really burpy.... which is weird cause i drink drip coffee and espresso drinks like they're going out of style and rarely have a problem with them. hmmmm.....

I wish I could drink it though. I also have liked chamomile, but instead of putting me to sleep, it usually makes me burp, so keeps me awake. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

What a great thread! For me tea is a way of life-I drink probably 5 cups a day. My fave is Earl Grey, and at night I have a cup of Hibiscus flower tea, which calms me down and has sleeping effects.

For colds and lungs, I think the company is Traditional Medicinals-they make a lung formula that helps me alot. As a kid my mom always made me drink lots of camomile and eucalyptus tea for my immune system.

If anyone ever goes to France-you gotta pick up tea by a company called Mariage Freres-very good healthy teas. A whole nother level of tea over there man!

I LOOVE green tea.
If your tea hurts your tummy, check if it has rose hips in it, they can be harsh on the tummy.
