Anyone here with Cystic Fibrosis have pets?

I am 19 years old and I had many cats and dogs. I recently got a kitten a few days ago. She does help with the stresses of daily life and make things a little easier.

All growing up we had cats & dogs. Since I have been married to my husband we also had Parakeets, but finally gave them away as we felt they were contributing to my health problems.

We still had a black lab mix and a tabbie cat. We just recently got a german shep/black lab mix.

They are a lot of work, but I couldnt imagine life without my animals.

My doctor once suggested getting rid of all of them. I told her it will never happen so she will have to work around that factor!

I want my daughter raised with animals like I was. She is excellent with animals of all kids!

We still had a black lab mix and a tabbie cat. We just recently got a german shep/black lab mix.

They are a lot of work, but I couldnt imagine life without my animals.

My doctor once suggested getting rid of all of them. I told her it will never happen so she will have to work around that factor!

Oh the cats are such stress relievers. I think the purring just relaxes muscles and disolves tension! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> We've had as many as 3 cats at one time, but we only have 2 right now. I was unfortunately diagnosed with cat allergies a few years ago. Hardwood floors and leather couches help immensely keeping the furr balls at bay. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> We've also got a 40 gallon fish tank with lots of fish - including prolific guppies! I've been known to piss away an hour just sitting there staring at the fish. ~Juliet
