DS started Aqua Adeks drops this past summer. He actually didn't mind the nasty flavor/smell and didn't have issues with niacin flush. I liked how it didn't stain his teeth that nasty brownish color that the regular adeks did. Then the pharmacy was unable to get them after a couple of months, so we went back to ordering adeks from the CF Services pharmacy and I also have some CFSource chewables I got from the clinic last spring to hold us over 'til we can get the aquaadeks again.
Our pharmacist checked on getting the aqua adeks again and his supplier said they were reformulating them, wasn't just the niacin issue. She did some more checking and said that it's unclear now if they're actually reformulating them or if they're just going to discontinue making them.. Don't know if that means they're going back to the drawing board or what. Meanwhile, the pharmacist checked some other sites for similar products and said other brands are back ordered or unavailable.
Meanwhile, I've ordered up some more chewables from CFSource, but recently read a press release, which indicated they were bought up by another company...
Just curious if other people are having problems obtaining vitamins.
