Atrovent

This is my second day of taking Atrovent for the first time. The label says don't expect to see results until 2-3 weeks into it. I feel like I could tell a really big difference within the first 8 hours (it has helped keep my bronchial tubes open way longer and that first night I could sleep through the night without my lungs tightening up!).

Has anyone experienced great/quick results from it too, or might this just be a coincidence?

Has anyone taken this? I'm sure.
Just want to know if it's helped others as much as I'm thinking it's helping me.
Anyone?

I take albuterol and atrovent 3 times a day. I have been on it for so long if I stop or miss a treatment I can really tell a difference. I used to just use albuterol with a saline mix to dilute it then one year he switched me to duoneb (the alb and atro are already mixed together) so I have been using that. I just get them seperate now though because it was so expensive for duoneb since it is name brand.

I don't remeber how fast I saw results but I do know it works for me.

Hope that helped

I use albuterol mixed with atrovent as well. I know it works really well for me because there have been times when I've been traveling and either forgotten the atrovent or run out of it (yes, I'm an idiot sometimes) and had to use some saline with my albuterol instead. I felt much much worse when I had to use the saline and when I got home and got back on the atrovent, I noticed an immediate difference. It's almost like my airways open up more and I feel like I can actually breathe, whereas with the saline mix, I feel okay for an hour or two, but then I feel like I need another treatment again. I have been told that atrovent works noticeably well in patients who also have an asthma component and I am increasingly more suspicious that I have undiagnosed asthma (for this and a couple other reasons too).
