backward fevers...

So it's fall, and my lungs are inflammed and acting very asthma-like and I was just told by the doc that I've contracted stenotrophomonas menophilia. I've had it before and wasn't too too bad, but it did land me in for IVs the last time. Anyway, my question is, does anyone here get hot flashes or anything like that when you're sick? There are points in the day where I just start getting so hot, yet my skin is cool to the touch (like a backwards fever). I've been at school where everyone is around me and freezing in AC, and I feel like I'm in an oven. I've never felt this way with a bug or inflammation and it's been going on for about a week now. Could it be related to my bug and is this common with anyone else?

My son has S.M too, but I've never had him say he's hot like that. He did have reoccurring fevers very often in the spring, but it was due to the myco he has. Since being treated for that, he hasn't had any.
