Terri--thanks for checking in. I have been putting updates in the original post. he is doing better. They opted to not do the surgery because of potential complications and are in the "wait and see" mode. The doctors think that it could have been an infarction (spelling?) and a piece of his spleen was dying off--so that caused all of the pain. He came home yesterday and is feeling better. Still on the pain meds, but the pain seems to be decreasing.

So....we'll just wait and see what happens. It is scary to think about the spleen procedures, etc.
