Does anyone else have times when they are just sitting and they can feel thier body temp rise? I can be just watching TV or helping my bf put his cream on his back and I can litterally feel my body temp rise to the point were I have "booby sweat", it happens quit alot and don't know why. I have been tested for pre menopause and it was negative. Any ideas/suggestions?

I dont have this symptom that you are describing. I just wanted to point out a few ideas. Are you on any new medication(s). It might be a reaction to one of them. If not it sounds like menopause to me. Maybe you should get retested. Just a few ideas.

I get this sensation alot when my blood sugar is dropping. I normally feel really hot, but if I ask Kurt to check if I feel warm I am normally cold or cool.

I will just be doing whatever - nothing out of the ordinary - and I will start to get a flushed feeling and start sweating. Above my lip, my neck and chest area. I don't know if maybe that is a symptom or not for you, but I noticed you had CFRD - maybe you could try checking your blood sugar when it happens next time to see if it may be the cause.

I had to laugh at the "booby sweat." I can feel my temp changing at times too. I can go from 97.3 to 99.8 in a very short period of time. That usually doesn't happen unless something is amiss though.

Lindsey- (or anyone)

this may sound dumb, but when your blood sugar starts to drop, what can/do you do to feel better? Eat something? I still don't understand the whole diabetes/sugar stuff yet.
Thanks.

I have symptoms very simular to Lindsey. I dont have CFRD or anything but my sugar drops every now and again.

Christian, I try to drink Orange Juice or Orange/Pineapple juice (not as much acid to cause reflux) or a soda. Eat something with protein in it is best, like peanut butter or nabs with pb in it. Candy bar with peanuts in it. Or if you have a peanut allergy, eat a sandwich, cookies, crackers. Something with substance not just a lot of sugar because in a few hours you sugar will drop again.

I usually try to drink Orange Juice/Apple Juice or some soda if I need a quick pick me up - followed by something with more staying power - granola bar, peanut butter and crackers and so on. If I can tell that my sugar will be dropping soon, but that it isn't in the "danger zone" yet then I have something with a little more substance to it.

yep i get that. its horrible. its made even worse because i have excessive sweating. it seems to be the slightest hot thing makes me feel boiling hot and the slightest cold thing makes me feel freezing. i often feel boiling when im under those little halogen type light bulbs that throw out a bit of heat [lots of shops seem to use them]. its really embarassing.
