They started him on Toridol for pain, which he has had for migranes and says its working great. Its not a narcotic either which he's also happy about. He was able to sit on the edge of the bed for about 45 minutes this afternoon. He got a little dizzy but he hasn't eaten since Tuesday night and he's full of drugs so that wasn't weird. After his second dose of Toridol he got up and went for a short walk then sat up again for another 45 minutes. His nurses were very happy that he was able to stay upright for so long.
He feels good enough to complain about absolutely everything so that's a good sign. He won't come home tomorrow, we're thinking probably Monday. He should be able to have liquids tomorrow, maybe bland solids by the evening. Then when they are sure his bowels are up and running he can go! Yay!!!
