Aidan aged three developed a horrible cough after what seemed like just the beginning of a sinus infection (he just had a second sinus surgery in February). The cough never subsided after Bactrim, Cipro and increased treatments. His sinus issues continued to get worse as well. Cough has now lasted five weeks.

He had a bronchoscopy today and there was thick, glue-like mucus in back of throat and lungs. I knew it would be in the throat area as his sinuses are such a mess. But I thought his lungs would've been spared as we do the hour VEST everyday. Now they think it may be a fungus and that is why it is not responding to antibiotics. Do I need to worry about Cepacia?? They want me to stop Mucomyst but his inflammtion actually was no bad??I am so nervous with this wait.

Thanks, Megan
