Can you taste salty at times and not have CF?

Trying to figure out how concerned to be.
My daughter occasionally tastes salty around her forehead in the mornings (assumably from sweat near her hairline where she lays on the pillow). Also, when she cries, her tears sometimes "crystallize" into white tracks on her face if they're not wiped away.
Is this concerning, or does this happen to non-CF people too?
