the ignorance is unbelievable.

essentially someone figured CF only affected white males, and thus they shouldn't fund it... because it only affects a small spectrum. that's like not supporting breast cancer research because it only affects women, or aids because it's really only a problem in africa. stupidity.

unbelievable... when I heard this I was extremely angered.

i was debating sending some emails to the president "Brittany Smyth," but i have since cooled off. if you would like to feel free, i'll try to find her contact info.

It's sad to see an educational institute using such poor researching skills. I heard that they have reconsidered and are not dropping the Shinerama fundraiser due to the all the negative publicity.

i didn't hear about it till several days later when my dad told me about it. they say next year they want to look at other charities to "spread diversity"
