isnt candida the posh name for thrush?if that is what it is....thrush is very common in pwcf; oral thrush is caused by the steroid inhalers i think, so as well as any treatment they might put you on for it, make sure you rinse your mouth out after taking your inhalers. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
just looked it up. it is basically thrush. sometimes it can show up in sputum samples. one site said if its in your lungs it can cause bloody mucus. i only saw this on one site so i dont know if its true.
I have cultured Candida Albicans several times. A lot of times it can just grow from antibiotic use. Here is an short study article on C. Albicans: http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/107496.htm I believe that it is only referred to as "thrush" when it is in the mouth.Jen 34 wcf
