I was just looking up centers in Maryland and saw National Institutes of Health listed and I know there are several people on this board from maryland and was wondering if anyone go there, if so that do you think of this center /
We live outside DC and go to DC Children's Hospital (CNMC) for our son's CF clinics because it's 15 minutes away versus an hour in traffic to NIH - but also, I got the impression that NIH only saw patients for clinical trials. Some aspects of CNMC could stand improvement, but we love the doctors.
Well, we were satationed at Ft. Meade in MD. And my daughter went to The CF clinic in Bethesda at the National Naval Medical Center. I they are out of Walter Reed, but it is at The Naval Center too. And DR. Joel Shmidt (I believe) was the name of the Dr we saw, he was very nice. I am not sure if this helped. Good luck
