CF and Hair Issues

I have been on my transplant meds now for two and a half years and I have had all sorts of side effects, most unfortunately of them being my hair has completely changed. It went from being think and wavy, to dry, brittle, thin and bone straight. It has started to get a little bit better but I am still having problems with it.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before? Or what should I do about it? Any products or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,
Annie

Hi Annie,
i was VERY sick in 2009, 43 days in the hospital. I know from all my meds, anesthesia, etc., my nails lifted (as in trying to fall off). And my hair was brittle and actually fell out. I'd have huge clumps of hair come out. I had to drastically cut my hair so it didn't look too obvious.
all mine took was time to repair and I had little baby hairs forever! But it's back to normal now. If you talk to a good dermatologist they can suggest or prescribe meds to you.
i don't have great hair no matter what, but I know there ARE options.
if you google Trillium Creek Dermatology in medina Ohio, or google dr. Helen Torok, you may even find help on her website in order to be prepared when you go to your own dr.

good luck,
kelli
