You actually do not have to get a lawyer. You can appeal on your own. (we did and we won) If you feel like you need a lawyer, go to the legal aid dept in your county. They work on a sliding scale depending on your income and you may not pay anything at all! It did take about a year or so to get the whole thing done with, mainly because they lost paperwork (so did Medical assistance)Andrea
