CFF Clinic in Bismark ND

We may be moving near Bismarck ND ~ I have looked on the CFF website and they have a "Care Center" listed at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. I have two questions:

1) Is anyone familiar with the clinic ~ good/bad?

2) What is the difference between a Care Center and a Chapter? They make the distinction on the CFF website.

Ok, three questions :)

3) They also list St. Paul MN as a "Chapter" for the ND area ~ would they be better to go to?

i can answer #2

A CF Chapter is a central location in your area that fundraises for Cystic Fibrosis. They conduct various events to raise money.

A Care Center is where a CF patient goes to receive CF care - usually a pulmonologist.

Thanks Amy

But a Chapter is still a clinic that sees patients right? So being a chapter doesn't make you a better care facility then, if it only has to do with fundraising status?

Alyssa,
I'm actually from North Dakota and have many relatives in Bism! Though I haven't been to their clinic, I am willing to share what experience I've had living in ND with the various clinics and what I know about them. Feel free to PM me and we'll "chat".

The CFF does the chapter fundraisers for the foundation in ND, SD and MN. They organize the great strides CF walk in Fargo every May. I've heard they'd like to try to get one organized in Bismarck, too.

I live in Fargo and most of the people from the east part of the state that I've come in contact with go to U of MN. Friend of mine's granddaugher from Grand Forks goes to the U of MN clinic. I did meet someone who took her child to Rochester, but that's not an accredited clinic and it's an extra hour+ drive past Minneapolis. I met a woman at the CF walk last year who goes to Bismarck and has gone to U of MN also, but she didn't indicate what she thought about the clinic in Bismarck.
