Class III and IV mutations

With the DDF508, I knew there was varability, but I think if you have two of the Class III and IV mutations, CF usually is less severe, even down to the only symptom in adulthood being the absence of the Vas Deferences.....
Does anyone have two of these mutations and if so, what has your health been and current FEV1.

Hi,

My boyfriend has one D508 mutation and a second one that we don´t know yet. They suspect that probably a class 3,4 or5 mutation because they tested for the most common class 1 and 2 and he didn´t have any of those. they are doing now another test with more mutations (I think Ambry but I cannot tell for sure).
He was diagnosed some moths ago at 35. He has bronchiectasies (not many) and of course azoospermia. His fev are in the 90 (95%). He doesn´t have pseudomona yet. Just staphylo in sputum which is sensitive to every drug. He doesn´t have many symptons, just a little cough in the morning. Not cough at all in the evening or at night. He seems to be pancreatic sufficient (although we won´t know for sure until all his test come back). Vitamine levels ok without supplmentation. In summary, he is doing pretty well. We will know his second mutation in october. If is class 3,4 or 5 would support the thought that people with those mutation may do better. Will see.... By the way what mutations do you have??.
Also I posted and article about difference in outcome between people with mutation class 1 and 2 and the other ones. It´s on the topic "dreaming about my son future".
