cleaning nebs

Hi there,

Our RT's have told us to boil them for 10 minutes and then let them air dry on a paper towel. We do this after every neb use. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions. It might also depend on the type of neb you have.

hi
i have been told not to leave mine to towel dry as this is where germs and bacteria will start to spread back on to the nebs. I think the best and easiest way by far is to sterlise your mouthpieces in the microwave for 5mins in 200ml of water, leave to cool for 2mins then towel dry immdediately. I have bought a babys bottle sterilising kit. It is convenient and easy! Much better than having to wait for the water to boil etc!
I hope you meant the mouthpieces and not the actual hand held part to it!?

We wash all of ours after each use with hot water and antibacterial dish soap, then we boil each of them for 5 minutes and allow them to air dry.

i mean..if you find a way to clean it and it doesnt end up getting you sick...cleaning it is cleaning it right?

sometimes i even just run hot water over it for a few minutes -shrugs-
