Clinic Appointment Yesterday

I went to Duke yesterday for the first time since my pneumothorax. I was so nervous at what the outcome would be. But I am home and my appointment went very well. My PFTs showed that my FEV1 was 32%, last visit it was 30%. They said they were stable....I say that is an increase. My FVC was 56% (I asked for a report to bring home with me, so that's how I know that). They did a chest x-ray and it showed that my lung is completely back up! The sliver at top is gone. I was told to gain a little more weight. I was at 111lbs, but considering I had dropped from 119 to 106 during the pneumo...they were happy with the 5lbs gained back during a month. I was told to exercise (as always) and what not to do so I wouldnt increase my risk of another pneumothorax. I meantioned my sugar bottoming out, they said to keep an eye on it. Asked about the twitching and he said wait to see what the blood levels showed that my local dr ordered. I'm still waiting for a call back on that (gonna call again tomorrow). I was told to return in October. So, I'm happy to report that all is good! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Thanks to everyone (special shout out to lightNlife and Quoof) that gave me advice on things to do to get back.

Unfortunately, no. It takes me around 2 and a half to 3 hours (depending on traffic and road construction) to get to Duke. I live in Eastern NC near Greenville.
